Ordination of Kenneth Fung (WYK ’75) to Permanent Diaconate‏

Dear Members:
Please join me in congratulating Kenneth Fung (WYK ’75) on his forthcoming ordination as a Permanent Deacon in the Archdiocese of Vancouver.
His ordination will be the last step of Ken’s 2+ year journey, which required immense dedication and commitment on his part and tremendous support from his family.
Please see Ken’s personal message below, inviting us to celebrate his ordination with him:
In joy and thanksgiving to the love of God, I am pleased to inform you that I’ll be ordained as a Permanent Deacon in the Archdiocese of Vancouver on Dec 8, 2015 (Tuesday), the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Here are the details of the Holy Mass in which the ordination will be celebrated:
Date: December 8, 2015
Place: Holy Rosary Cathedral
Time: 6:30 pm.

Totally, there are 16 candidates to be ordained by Archbishop J. Michael Miller, CSB.  We are the first group of Permanent Deacons to be ordained in the Archdiocese of Vancouver.

If you plan to attend the Holy Mass, please come early because there will be a lot of people and the number of seats are limited.

Meanwhile, please pray for me and my family for there will be a lot of challenges ahead of us as I am taking up this new ministry.

In Christ,

Kenneth Fung (kenfung_bc@yahoo.ca)
Sincerely
Lawrence Chan, WYK ’72
President
WYCAA Vancouver
